Roberta Lea Wade Belk

GREENSBORO - Roberta Wade Belk, age 82, passed away Friday
morning, May 24, 2024, at Spring Arbor of Greensboro. Roberta was born on July
26, 1941, in Caldwell, Idaho to the late Richard Houston and Dana Rae Mills
Wade. Throughout her life, she enjoyed feeding squirrels at her home and fixing
various foods for family such as pickles, zucchini, etc. Roberta served her
country proudly as a registered nurse in the United States Navy. In addition to
her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Belk, Sr.; son,
Larry Lee Belk, Jr.; brothers, Russell Wade and Chuck Wade; sisters, Judith
Wade Hojsack and Carilyn Wade Smallwood; and her beloved poodles, Rusty and
Brandi, and granddog, Onyx Noir. Roberta is survived by her son, Woodie Belk;
daughter-in-law, Kimberly Stirewalt Belk; brothers, Robert Wade (Barbara), Rick
Wade, and Dempsey Wade; sisters, Lynne Wade Lent, Marilyn Wade Naillon; and her
grand-fur babies, Thad and Jenny Curran. The family will receive friends from
5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Forbis & Dick N. Elm Chapel. A
private graveside service will be held at a later date at Salisbury National
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice: 2730
