Lee Merle Lent

Lynne
retired in 2008 from a teaching career and for seven years, she and Lee were
blessed with travelling the U.S. doing volunteer hosting and maintenance at
state, county and private parks; working at national symbols such as Crazy
Horse Memorial in SD, and Adventureland Amusement Park in IA (some people
called us carnies); and doing volunteer building projects on two churches for
Maranatha Volunteers International.
That same year, Lee and Lynne were baptized and reborn into Gods family through the salvation offered by Jesus Christs redemptive blood. They became proud members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In the years since, Lees faith in the Lord has grown. When he went to sleep, he had the assurance that in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet (I Cor. 15:52) he would see Jesus coming in the clouds of glory when He comes to take Gods children home.
Lee loved! He loved his God; his Savior, Jesus Christ; studying Gods word and the Spirit of Prophecy; his wife and sons, grandson and great-grandchildren; his extended families: Lent, McCoy, Wade; his many friends; church families in Woodburn, OR, Dulzura, CA, Tucson, AZ, and Middleton, ID, and other places he travelled; working; travelling; RVing; fishing; his pets including a white shepherd named Wolf; three poodles-Pepper, Cissy and Spook, and two black labs, Buster and Dylan; Central Oregon; bald eagles; trains and ice cream, just to name a few!
Lee was preceded in death by his parents. He was the second of his five siblings, only survived by his eldest brother, Frank Burton Lent. Preceding him in death were brothers, Kenneth and Alfred, and sister, Leona Lent Harper; sister-in-law, Shirley Lent; brother-in-law, Joe Harper; brother-in-law, Larry Belk; brother-in-law, Russ Wade; sisters-in-law Judy Hojsack and Carilyn Smallwood; grandparents and his in-laws, Richard Wade and Dana Short; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne; his sons, Stuart and JR; grandson David; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Rhett; his brother, Burt; brothers- and sisters-in law, Rick and Jan Wade; Chuck and Joan Wade; Dempsey Wade; Rob and Barb Wade; Ski Hojsack; Marilyn Naillon; Roberta Belk and Symone Wade; many nieces including one very special one, Theresa Smith; many nephews; great nieces and great nephews and many wonderful friends and church families, including the current one, Middleton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Middleton, ID.
A memorial celebration of Lees life will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at 3 p.m. at the Middleton Seventh-day Adventist Church, 421 Cemetery Rd.; Middleton, ID, with light refreshments to follow.
No flowers please; if you are so inclined, a donation to a food bank or worthy veterans organization would please Lee.
I wanted to share some of the comments of condolence:
Wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for my dad.
Lee will be missed for a long time, as he was like another dad to me.
Uncle Lee was a good man, I’m happy to have known him, but sad he’s gone.
He was a wonderful, kind person that will be missed greatly.
He was definitely one-of-a-kind and I’m sorry we didn’t get to see him before he passed.
Well miss Lee terribly.
I am forever grateful for the years I have known Uncle Lee.
Uncle Lee was a really good man with an amazing, vibrant soul.
Love you Uncle Lee! You made a difference in my life.
